Introduction
As the only professional auto and motorcycle exhibition in the Pan-Arab and North African regions, AUTOMECH FORMULA has successfully held 24 sessions. [Market Overview]
The economy in North Africa and the Middle East is undergoing a tremendous transformation. In the next fifteen years, the total economic output is expected to double, and it will take 84 years for the European economy to complete this process. The economic growth of the entire region has also brought about rapid development of the automotive industry. Among them, Egypt has become the country with the highest automobile output in the Middle East and North Africa, and it is also the export center for parts and components for Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
Although Egypt is famous for traffic jams, Egypt’s auto market has grown at a rate of 20% per year, benefiting from low tariff barriers and anti-corruption measures. Egypt has about 5.76 million vehicles, France (Peugeot, Renault), Italy (Fiat), Germany (Benz, BMW), Japan (Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi), South Korea (Daewoo, Hyundai) occupy a large proportion in Egypt . The Egyptian government has developed a three-step development strategy for the automotive industry, namely the introduction of pilot assembly of advanced production lines from abroad - driving the rapid development of the automotive industry - and gradually entering the autonomous design and production stage. For this purpose, it has introduced incentive measures such as lowering import tariffs on auto parts and restricting the import of vehicles and the use of locally produced parts.
At the end of last year, the Chinese hippocampal car brand also began its "indigenization" in Egypt, and reached an agreement with Egypt's local Abujali car company. The agreement is for the latter to set up a sales and parts center in Egypt. And service in one of the hippocampus outlets.
