InterAuto was founded in 2005 by the IEC Exhibition Center (IECCrocusExpo) and the Russian Automobile Manufacturers Association.
As early as April 2005, the organizers of the International Automobile and Accessories Fair of Russia held discussions with FORD, CITROEN, AVTOTOR (AVTOOTOR), AVTOFRAMOS (Moscow City Government and the French Renault joint venture), OBUKHOVAVTOCENTRE, the Russian energy giant SLAVNEFT and Some other well-known companies reached an agreement on the matter of co-exhibiting, laying the foundation stone for InterAuto to attract the world's top car manufacturers, auto parts manufacturers and distributors.
The world of 400 exhibitors from 22 countries in 2016 (including Germany, Italy, South Korea, China, Poland, Hungary, the United States, etc.). Interauto Russia's largest professional exhibition covering over 45,000 square meters of exhibition space accommodates six halls of the first and second crocus IEC Expo Hall and outdoor pavilion opposite.
